Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Campground

We recently went camping at the Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camping Ground in Luray, VA. We all had a lot of fun. They had laser tag, a miniature golf course, two swimming pools, a water slide, two jumping pillows, paddle boats, a game room, a playground, a snack shop, a convenience store, and several planned activities.

The first activity we participated in was tie-dying t-shirts. We let the kids both tie-dye their own t-shirts.

Kaylee and I went on a wagon ride with Boo Boo while Geoff and Kaden worked on setting up the tent and campsite.

Boo Boo led the group in some classic kids songs during the wagon ride. Kaylee loved singing along to some of her favorite songs.

We played candy bar bingo. Nobody from our group won but one girl won a 43 candy bar jack pot and a few others each won six candy bars.

One morning we watched Yogi Bear cartoons and colored pictures.

Here is Kaylee's finished picture.

I took the kids to meet Boo Boo and go on a scavenger hunt. We decided not to participate in the scavenger hunt after we found out that it would require us to run around the campground for 30 minutes. Kaylee was already tired and started to cry. She wanted the prize but didn't have the energy to run around in the heat and humidity. At least we got a picture with Boo Boo. :)

Here is another picture where you can see Kaylee.

Here are the kids enjoying their treats from the snack shop.

Everyone had fun on the jumping pillows.

Here is Geoff showing off one of his cool jumps.

One morning Kaden was chosen to help with the flag raising ceremony.

Yogi Bear showed up for the flag raising ceremony. Kaylee was excited to see him and get her picture taken with him. She wanted to go to all of the activities that the bears were at.

Some of our good friends met up with us at the campground. They have a son Kaden's age and three daughters. The kids were so excited when they showed up. The girls found a red beetle and decided to make it their pet. They even made it a home.

Kaden and his friend Jake were excited to find out that you only have to be 7 years old to use the paddle boats. They had a lot of fun paddling around the pond together.

Here we are with Kaylee and Justice. These two were born on the same day.

Here are our friends Jacob and Camille with their daughters Abby and Anni. We meant to get a group picture of both families but somehow it never happened. We will have to plan better next time.

Geoff and Kaden played miniature golf three times. Kaylee and I played twice.

Kaylee got a hole-in-one with Geoff's help. She was very proud of herself.

The girls were excited to see Cindy Bear at the playground. Kaylee kept wanting to give her hugs.

After getting pictures with Cindy we headed over to the swimming pools and water slide.

We spent a lot of time at the pools and water slide because it was hot and humid. The kids loved having their friends there to play with in the pool. Kaden loved the water slide and went down it several times. Kaylee wasn't brave enough to try it.

They had a water balloon launch one afternoon. The kids and dads had fun trying to catch the water balloons.

We had Smores two of the nights we were there.

We also had banana boats and a dutch oven chocolate pudding cake.

Here are Geoff and the kids posing with the Yogi Bear statue.

We all had a great time and created a lot of fun memories.
