After checking out of our campground we headed over to the Luray Caverns. They are the largest caverns on the east coast. We all enjoyed our visit. Kaden said the caverns were his favorite part of the vacation. Here are some of my favorite pictures of the caverns. 
Admission to the antique car museum is included in the admission price to the Luray Caverns.

After visiting the caverns and antique car museum we decided to take a drive through the famous Skyline Drive. It's views from peaks and overlooks include not only the Blue Ridge itself, but also the patchwork of woods, farmlands and orchards on either side. There were overlooks every few miles. We wanted to stop at all of them but didn't have the time.

We stopped at the Skyland Resort to take in the views from the highest point on Skyline Drive. It was a beautiful area. We are thinking about going back in the fall when the leaves change color and it is a little cooler.

Looks like the trip was a huge success! Glad you all had so much fun. I agree--I think the scenery would be even more beautiful with the leaves changing colors!
Looks like a wonderful trip! Bummer that it was so hot and humid, but at least there were the pools to cool off in. The kids look like they had so much fun.
Geez, it's been a really long time since I read your blog and you sure are making me want to go out and do something fun! Looks like a fun place to go! Pretty even without the leaves changing, I think!
