Kaden Turns 10!

Kaden had a hard time trying to figure out what party theme he wanted this year.  Since he still loves Legos and none of his friends attended his Lego party last year we decided to go with the Lego theme again.  Unfortunately, I didn't save anything from the last party, but I did have the games all figured out which made it easier.  The boys raced to see who could put their jeep together the fastest, then we raced them.
We played a Lego toss game.
We played a game to see who could pick up the most Legos with a straw.
We played Lego Creationary.  My brother, Brandon and his wife gave Kaden a huge container of Legos when we were in Utah.   The boys all had fun playing with the Legos before and after the party games.  In fact, I think they would have all been happy if we would have just let them play with the Legos the whole time.
This is what you get when you tell a bunch of boys to smile.  It must not be cool to smile for pictures at this age. :)
Here is a secret if you want to calm down a bunch of boys.  All you have to do is put on a video game and it will go from  chaos to silence. :)
Here is the birthday boy with his presents. He ended up with a video game, a set of books, some Legos, a Super Soaker, a Barnes and Noble gift card, and $60.  Needless to say, he was happy.

What fun! Looks like such a success. And super smart to use the same idea from last year.

PS: Can't believe that Kaden is 10! They grow up so fast.
