Our First Halloween in Arizona

Since Kaylee wasn't able to participate in a class Halloween party this year I decided to take her to a pumpkin patch.  We arrived between school groups which ended up being perfect.  It wasn't crowded at all and we were able to do everything without waiting in lines.

 She fed the goats.
 We went on a hayride.

She ended up getting to jump in this over sized bouncy house all by herself.

Before we left she got to pick out a treat and a small pumpkin to take home and paint.

On the way home we stopped at a McDonald's with a big play place.  Again, it was perfect timing, she had the whole play place all to herself which she loved.

Later that afternoon we went over to the school to watch the annual snake parade.  Kaden's class had a theme this year.  They were either body guards or famous people.  Kaden was a body guard.

Kaylee got sick of the wings on the Tooth Fairy costume and decided to go to the school parade dressed up as a hair stylist.  I was worried she would feel bad that she wasn't able to participate in the school parade but she didn't seem to mind at all.  In fact she loved getting to sit with the parents and wave to the kids.

Here are the kids right before it was time to go Trick-or-Treating.  Can you tell they were excited? :)

Every year our neighbors host a potluck on Halloween.  We really did luck out by moving to this street.  We have the best neighbors.  They are all so friendly and fun.

This is what our street looks like most afternoons. There are always lots of kids out playing and the moms sit and visit.  Again, we love living here!

Geoff missed the potluck dinner but he was able to make it home in time to help me take Kaylee and her friend, Crystal Trick-or-Treating.  The weather was perfect and everyone was out sitting in their front yards passing out candy.  Some people had haunted houses for the kids to go through and someone made homemade rootbeer.  We later found out that Kaden visited the house passing out the homemade rootbeer four times.

This year Kaden went Trick-or-Treating with his friends, Blake, Carter, and Grant.  Here he is with his friend, Blake.

We bumped into the Honey Nut Cheerio Bee at one of the houses.

The girls got a lot of candy from just going up and down two streets.  They decided they had enough candy and wanted to go home and help us pass out candy to the Trick-or-Treaters.  Kaylee said this was her favorite part of Halloween.

Here is Kaden with his stash of candy.

Here is Kaylee with her stash of candy.  We had a lot of fun and are already looking forward to next year!

So much fun! I am happy that you guys are enjoying Arizona so much. One of these days we will have to have a little road trip to see you. Love the picutres, love the costumes, love all of the updates. I especially love that Kaylee had three different costumes for three different occasions.

How fun! I have always wanted to live in a neighborhood like yours... warm, friendly, sit outside to pass out candy. Looks like it was a great time! I am glad that you like it there! We totally need to come visit!
