We are moving to Arizona!!
Last fall our landlord decided to put the townhouse we were renting up for sale. Geoff's clerkship was ending and he was in the process of looking for a new job. We decided it would be best if the kids and I moved in with my parents in Utah while he continued to look for a new job so that we would not be locked into a new lease. During the Thanksgiving break my parents flew out to Maryland to drive back to Utah with us and we have been staying with them ever since. Geoff's cousin Meredith and her husband live in DC and were kind enough to take Geoff in while he was finishing up his clerkship. The first part of February Geoff received a job offer from a good firm in Arizona. We have been amazed at how perfectly everything has fallen into place. Looking back it is so clear to see how everything worked out the way it did for a reason. This experience has strengthened my testimony. I am so thankful for a Heavenly Father who knows more then I do.
The end of February I flew out to DC to drive to Arizona with Geoff. While I was in Arizona we went house hunting. I have been praying for months to move to a neighborhood with lots of kids. We have never lived in an area with kids on our street. While we were looking at this house (the one we have a contract on) a bus pulled up a few doors down and lots of kids got off. There were several boys Kaden's age and even a few girls including one that lives right next door. Luckily, I also fell in love with the house and somehow convinced Geoff to buy it for me. :)
We will also be living 3 minutes/1 mile away from some of our best friends. We met the Browns in Florida and then ended up moving to Maryland around the same time. We have had many fun sightseeing trips with them and are looking forward to many more! Both of our kids believe we are suppose to move to Arizona to be near the Browns. :) They are like a second family to us and I know having them close by will make this move easier for all of us.
We are so EXCITED to be together as a family again. If everything goes as planned then we should be together again by the end of April.
I have had several people ask for pictures of the house so here are some if you are interested in seeing them:
This is the family room
I fell in love with the kitchen. I have always wanted double ovens, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The top oven is a convection oven, I can't wait to try it out!
There is a breakfast nook off of the kitchen. You can enter the kitchen from the family room or formal dining room. There are two ways to go up the stairs, either from the entry way or from the kitchen.
The formal dining room.
The living room. Behind the living room is a full bath and guest bedroom.
The master bedroom. Upstairs has the master bedroom and bathroom, three secondary bedrooms, another full bath, a loft and a bonus room.
The master bathroom.
The loft that leads into the bonus room.
The bonus room/ future home theatre room.
The backyard has a fenced in salt water play pool, a covered patio, some grass, a few palm trees and a fruit tree. The yard isn't very big but there are four neighborhood parks that the kids can walk to which makes up for it.
Another view of the backyard.

Oh my gosh, Jadi, What a beautiful place. I love your kitchen and those hardwood floors. I'm happy you will be near dear friends too. It sounds like such a great blessing.
What a wonderful post full of wonderful news! That house is just GORGEOUS! (And I bet your favorite feature is the lack of dark green carpeting. :) And how great to be so close to the Browns again. We are just so happy for you guys that everything worked out the way it did.
Lovely! I'm so happy for you! I hope your move and everything goes smoothly.
When I first heard you were moving to AZ and Geoff got at job at a certain place, I got all excited because I thought it might possible be with my brother-in-law because they were hiring and have the same very common name. Then I heard your a couple hundred miles away so... ;) My sister LOVES AZ. She's been bragging about how she can grow a veggie garden all year round. Hope you love it just as much!
Yay!! We are so excited for you!! Your house is AMAZING!! I'm so glad you found something you love, in an area you love, with people you love!! We definately need to get together for dinner with the family before you move down to AZ!
Jadi,
We couldn't be more excited for you guys to be close again. We have missed your family! I agree with your kids...and mine. For some reason, Heavenly Father wants our families to be together. I am so jeleous of that bonus room!!! I have dreams of it :)
Talk about an answer to your prayers. It is funny because when we finished law school and were looking for a job we got Las Vegas. I did NOT think that was the answer I was looking for, but we ended up loving it and loving what came after. You just never know how things are going to work out. I could not be happier for your family to finally be finished with school and starting your "real life" (as I always thought it would be). I can't wait to come stay in AZ with you guys. We have lots of great friends there too who love it. Beautiful house...congratulations!
Congrats again, Jadi! We really are so happy for you. What a beautiful house! And I know you'll will make it an even more beautiful home in no time!
I think we are coming for a visit!!!!! Love it all I am so happy for you guys! Take care and don't forget about us when you come to Utah!!!
Jadi I am so happy for you guys. The house is gorgeous and you will have so much space. I hope we can see each other before you go.
What a beautiful home! And it's always fun having kids in the neighborhood. The kids will love it. I hope all goes smoothly with the move.
I love it! I'm so jealous of your kitchen. :o) It's great to have kids in the neighborhood too. That's one of the reasons we like ours so much.
ALRIGHT! Way to go Jadi! I've only recently started to check blogs again... but now I feel all caught up with your amazing lives. I love that this whole move has gotten you to trust more in the Lord. Tell Geoff we said kudos on the job, and congrats to you for the new kid-friendly neighborhood and beautiful home. We miss you guys.
