We met up with some of our good friends at Great Falls, MD. Kaden took this picture of us outside of the visitors center/museum.

We took a mule drawn canal boat ride.

The employees were dressed up from the 1800's and gave us a little history lesson.

We had a picnic lunch. The kids were happily eating their lunches until the geese came over and tried to steal some of their food. Now they are not a fan of chickens or geese. :)

Here is a picture of Kaylee next to the geese before they tried to steal her lunch.

We found a hollow tree that the kids all loved.

We took a short hike to the falls. They were even more beautiful then this picture.

If you look close you will see a heron sitting on a rock.

The kids had fun playing on the rocks...

and with their friends.

I thought this picture was cute of Kaylee.

Before we left we stopped at the refreshment stand for some popsicles. It was a perfect day.

GREAT pictures!!! I love that adorable one of Kaylee posing on the rock.
Looks like a great day, but not quite as good as Mt. Vernon...wink, wink.
Really, what a perfect day to go! And what a fun day trip!
All kinds of fun stuff to do there! Your kids are growing up, it is hard to believe how old they must be now.
