Today we met up with some of our good friends at Clark's
Ellioak Farm in
Ellicott City.

This farm has a petting zoo, lots of storybook themed play areas, a maze, pony rides, hay rides, and a snack/gift shop.

Here is
Kaden with
Humpty Dumpty.

Here are the kids in front of the Old Woman who Lived in a Shoe's house. There was a slide inside of the shoe.

The kids in front of Hey Diddle Diddle.

The kids all LOVED the maze. There were lots of storybook character statues throughout the maze.

This one was from the Ugly Duckling story.

If you look through the window of this house you will see Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf.

Here are the kids in front of Hickory
Dickory Dock.

Towards the end of the maze there was a statue of a hare sleeping on the ground and the tortoise about to cross the finish line.

Here is
Kaden feeding a sheep.

Here is Kaylee feeding a goat.

Here is
Kaden in the petting zoo area. When one of our friends was leaving the petting zoo area these two little goats pushed him out of the way and escaped. The kids thought it was so funny.

It was a really hot day. To stay cool Kaylee kept soaking herself under the faucet.

We went on a hayride through the Enchanted Forrest. There were 21 trees with faces on them. The kids had fun looking for all of them.

We were there during story time. A lady read us a story about chickens while holding a chicken. After the story she let the kids touch the chicken and answered questions about chickens.

The kids sat inside of a giant tea cup with their friends and enjoyed their treats from the snack shop.

This is what happens when a six year old eats an ice cream bar in 90 plus degree weather.
This is a great place to take kids. We all had a lot of fun!

What a cute little place and really close to home. How nice. Kaley looks like she is melting as much as her ice cream. I can only imagine how it is there with the humidity and everything.
That takes talent to eat all the chocolate off the ice cream! Thank goodness for ice cream on such hot days!!! But it looks like everyone had a great time!
Another great adventure. You are so great at finding fun things for the kids. I love the picture of Kaylee cooling off in the water, and eating the ice-cream! You just can't stay clean when the ice cream is melting so fast.
Seriously... how cool!! That looks fun, and again, somewhere that I would love to visit with my kids. We just need to come see you and go around to all the fun places you find.
It looks like you guys have been having a fun summer. Isaac's preschool class had a field trip here last fall and we loved it. The picture of Kaylee cooling off is classic..way to stay cool!
