Day trip to Havre de Grace, MD

We decided to take a day trip to Havre de Grace, MD. It is about an hour and a half away from where we live. We stopped at an outlet mall in Perryville on our way and ended our day by stopping at Rita's to get some free Italian ice in celebration of the first day of spring. Here are the kids in front of the Concord Point Lighthouse. It is the oldest lighthouse in continuous operation in the United States.

Kaden throwing rocks. If you look closely you can see his rock at the top center of the picture.

Even though it was the first day of spring it still looked like winter.

At the end of the boardwalk there was a big park. I think this was the highlight of the day for the kids.

I am not sure we would ever go back but we enjoyed our visit. The people were kind, the town had a small town charming atmosphere and the views of the Chesapeake Bay were beautiful.

MMMMMMM Rita's....We are so jealous. And your spring is a lot nicer than ours. We just were hammered with a foot of snow. Oh, and Geoff has nice legs. Hope all is well.

What an amazing place to live. There are SO many fun/interesting/historical places to visit so close to your home. It would be a great experience to be able to see so many fabulous places.
