Starting School and Labor Day Weekend

I am going to try to do better at updating our blog. We have been so busy the last few months. Now that fall is coming I think things will slow down a little more.

Kaylee's first day of kindergarten.

Kaden's first day of second grade.

I still can't believe both of my kids are in full day school. When I first heard that kindergarten was full day here I wasn't sure how I felt about it. Now I am loving it! Kaylee loves school and can't wait to go back each day. She even told me that she didn't like Labor Day because that meant she couldn't go to school that day. :) We thought she would by shy and nervous but she has turned into a little social butterfly. Kaden's teacher is still on maternity leave. We are not impressed with the temporary teacher at all. On back to school night she made it quite clear she was there for the pay check and not for the kids. :( His permanent teacher will return after Thanksgiving break.

We had a fun Labor Day weekend. On Saturday we drove over to Kent Island to do some shopping at an outlet mall. We always love to shop at the outlets. That was a lot of fun. On Labor Day we met up with a bunch of our good friends at Sandy Point State Park. It is about 30 minutes away from where we live. The kids had a blast playing in the water and we enjoyed visiting with our friends. It was a great holiday weekend! The weather here is starting to cool down which has been really nice since the summers are very hot and humid.

Jadi, I don't think I have ever been so jealous of anyone. EVER! What do you do with all of your alone time? I can't even think about it. I will cry if I try to imagine how LONG it will be until all of my kids are in school.

The beach pictures are great. I just love taking my kids to the beach, they have so much fun there. It looks like Kaden and Kaylee are the same.

I am glad to hear that Kaylee is enjoying Kindergarten. Sorry about Kaden's teacher. So far we have been very lucky with teachers. We have loved them all. Good thing his real teacher will be back in a couple of months.

I'm glad the weather wasn't TOO hot for the beach--looks like the kids had a great time! Can't wait to see more posts!

All day to yourself! Sound like a luxury for me. I'm happy to have just one kid for a few hours a week while Carson's in preschool. But the thought of having time to myself is appealing. Too bad about his sub teacher, though.

I'm trying to make the most of this special time I get to spend with my kids before they all start going to school, but I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't a little envious of your set up. PLUS, Kaylee loves school. Nice.
