One of our Christmas traditions is reading a Christmas book every night before the kids go to bed. We start this tradition on the first day of December and end on Christmas Eve. The Gingerbread Man is one of our favorite ones. This year Geoff read the book. After reading the book I told the kids that I baked a gingerbread man earlier and left it in the oven. When they looked in the oven they discovered that the gingerbread man had ran away. They followed the gum drop trail to find the gingerbread man. This year he was hiding in the playroom. After we eat the gingerbread man (mainly the frosting and candies) then we make a gingerbread craft.

Kaden always finds this book funny. :)

Enjoying the treat.

Kaylee finished off the candies and frosting. :)

We notice that Geoff has taken two handfulls of cookie...sly dog!! Jadi, you are so creative. All we can do is make sugar cookies. We miss you guys.
What a fun holiday tradition. I love the idea of having a Christmas story every night--it's like an advent calendar only better! And what a cute idea to do the gingerbread man and craft afterwards.
Jadi you are so creative! When do I get to see you and Geoff and the fam?? Would love to have you over for dinner, or we could meet at the DC Temple perhaps one of these nights to see the lights and live nativity together. Let me know what your schedule looks like...
How fun. You always know how to do so many wonderful things with your kids. They will have so many family traditions to remember. I have read so many times just how important it is to have traditions. Great work.
