A Campout, A Field Trip and Student of the Week

Last weekend Geoff and Kaden went on a Father and Son camp out. They both had a good time. I was going to take Kaylee out to dinner and a movie but she decided she would rather stay home and wear her pajamas. We ended up ordering pizza and watching some movies. We both enjoyed spending some one on one time together.

Last week I also chaperoned Kaylee's last kindergarten field trip. We went to Camp Woodlands. The kids got to go out on a boat, learn about crabs and water safety, learn about bees, and make a honey ball treat. The campground was in a beautiful setting and it ended up being a really fun day. Unfortunately my camera battery died after I took a few pictures so this is all I ended up with.

Kaylee has been waiting patiently for her turn to be student of the week at school. She was so excited when she found out it was her turn. This week she will get to be first in line. She will also get to chose which center/activity station she wants to do first. Here is what she wrote on her poster:

My favorite food is macaroni and cheese
My favorite animal is kittins
My favorite color is magenta
My favorite book is Fancy Nancy
When I grow up I want to be "Just a normal Mommy"
My favorite show is Spongebob

I love it--just a normal mommy. But if she's anything like you, she'll be a super-mommy!!!

What a fun field trip! I swear our kids would never be allowed to go on a fun little boat trip here.

So much fun! I can't wait until the father's and son's campout. I will be home by myself! I hope that Kaylee grows up to be a mom just like you. She couldn't have a better example.

I also love the "normal mommy" comment, so cute. I agree too that you are a super mommy.
