One of our Favorite Places

In November when my mom was in town visiting we took her to Hershey, PA. It has become one of our favorite places to go for a day trip out here. It is about a two hour drive from where we live.

We went on a trolley ride through the town. I would highly recommend this if you are only planning on visiting once. We learned a lot about Milton Hershey and his wife. They were both amazing people.

Milton Hershey and his wife started a school for orphans. They provided everything for them including food, shelter, clothing, education and health insurance. The school still runs today and now also accepts kids from families with low income, limited resources and social need. The Hershey's helped several people with their fortune and treated their employees well.

They handed out chocolate samples throughout the trolley ride and gave us each a full sized candy bar when we got off at the end.

Inside Chocolate World the kids got to pretend to be factory workers.

Kaylee putting her package of Hershey kisses on the line to be sealed.

Clocking out after a hard days work.

Every time we go to Chocolate World our kids choose to fill a bucket with candy for their souvenirs. They both love to put on a hard hat, turn the wheel and watch the candy fall into their buckets.

Kaden's turn.

Every time we go I have to buy a Reese's peanut butter cup cookie. They are so good!!! Hershey also has a big amusement park. We are hoping to try it out before we move this summer.

You can also find these Hershey kiss street lights throughout the town.
