In front of the Liberty Bell.
This was our last adventure with our good friends the Browns. We met them in Florida and both moved to Maryland last summer. We have been to the beaches, Disney World, Hershey, PA, DC and a few other places with them. They are moving to Arizona in a few weeks and we are really SAD about it!
Our family in front of Independence Hall.
A Memorial Day ceremony in front of Independence Hall.
Harrison, Kaden, Bridger, Marlie and Kaylee outside of Independence Hall.
The accused had to stand in the cage/bars in the middle during the trials.
The chair at the front of the room is the same one that George Washington sat in.
Independence Hall is where the Declaration of Independence was approved on July 4th, 1776. The tour was really good. I am so thankful my children are getting these experiences so young. Kaden learned about the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall in school this year.
Kaylee writing her name with ink inside the Independence Hall visitors center.
The kids talking to a man dressed up from the 1700's era.
The building filmed in the Ghostbusters movie.
Kaden running up the same steps that Rocky ran up in the movie.
Kaden posing in front of the famous Rocky statue.
Shad and Geoff in line to get some Philly steak sandwiches.
Pat's Steaks is the original Philly steak shop. Geno's opened up across the street. We tried a sandwich from both places. I thought Geno's was by far better but Geoff thinks he liked Pat's steak better. So if you ever go to Philly you might have to try both places and decide for yourself! :)

How fun. It looks like the weather was nice.
You sure packed a lot of things into that one day! Vann's sister lived there for a couple years and I think we saw those same things during visits over a few years--not one day! Glad you had fun!
How fun! I'm glad you got to have one last adventure with the Brown's. I'm sad for you that they are moving, but glad for us that you're staying for a while longer! You got some great pictures. I haven't been to Philadelphia since I was little, and it made me want to go back.
I think that when Kristopher and I come out next pring we may have to run to Philly for a day maybe two.
The history you guys are getting to see, I'm so jealous.
I'm glad you had a good time!
You are certainly making the most of living out there. You do and see so much. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like you had a lot of fun. We are looking forward to visiting you guys soon.
What a fun little getaway! Philadelphia is ANOTHER place I would love to visit because there is so much history there. What a great opportunity to go and see such historical places while you are relatively close. Sorry that some of your friends are moving. I am sure you will miss them a lot. Even though we love being here in Utah I truly miss my friends in Vegas. Some friends just can't be replaced.
It's good to see you blogging again. Your trip looks so fun. I would love to come back east and see all the fun things that you are experiencing w/ your family. You look so good!
From Momma Dew:
We loved seeing what you did in Philly. It's so fun to keep up with your life.
That looks so fun, what a great place you live.
Looks like so much fun! I went to those same places in 5th grade, and even then it was amazing to think about the history that had taken place there.
Wow Jadi..you have the cutest blog.. I admire you so much. Thanks again for talking to me. I'm sorry I fell apart. I guess I didnt realize how much I was really going through until I let it all out.. Man.. I'm a wreck. I have the internet again so we can keep in touch better.. I only had it on my phone and it was tough to keep up with everyone. Keep posting and keep me in touch. I love you!
