I just wanted to let my friends in Maryland know about a Fall Fest that is going on in Bowie. It is open every Saturday from 10-2 pm through October 25th at the Patuxent Nursery Club. It is located on Rt. 301 in Bowie. The address is 2410 North Crain Hwy.
Here is the schedule for this Saturday the 4th. I know it is conference weekend but you could go from 10-11:30 am and still make it back in time for the first session. The following weekend sounds like it might be more fun though.
By the way I called to verify and it is all FREE. The lady was really nice. She said you don't need to bring a dime.
This Saturday the 4th they will have pony rides, a moon bounce, face painting, a straw maze, a scarecrow making workshop (You need to bring your own shirt and pants and they will provide the straw), pumpkin painting, a fall planter demo, and free snacks like popcorn and cider.
The following weekend on the 11th they will have horse-drawn farm wagon rides, live music, a story telling witch, a scarecrow making workshop, pumpkin painting for kids, a putting contest, carnival games & prizes, and a straw maze.
The National Apple Harvest Festival is also going on in Arentsville, PA. It is really close to Gettysburg if you wanted to make a day trip out of it. For more info click HERE.
Kinder Farm Park is also having their Fall Festival next Saturday the 11th. Lisa just left a comment saying that the festival is from 10-4pm and is free along with free parking. Thanks Lisa!!!
I wish I could go to all three but I will be happy as long as I can make it to one! :) I love festivals. They are so much fun.

Hey I saw something about the Kinder Farm Park one on the 11th. It is also Free with Free parking. Events run from 10am to 4pm.
