A Day at Gettysburg

Gettysburg has a lot to see. I don't think we even saw half of it. We ended up cutting our audio tour short and went to check out the historic downtown area of Gettysburg. The downtown shops have a lot of character and charm. It was a beautiful time of the year to visit Gettysburg. A lot of the trees were changing colors and there were a lot of fields full of beautiful flowers.

We are the little people up on top!

At first we were getting out of our cars to take pictures at all of the monuments and statues. Then we realized it was going to take us forever to get through the tour if we kept stopping.

Prisoners were held in this barn.

There were fields full of beautiful flowers like this!

Gettysburg became more appealing to some when we got to the downtown shops. We also ate dinner at a local family restaurant that ended up being really good. My parents also tried Shoofly pie for the first time.

We bought Kaylee a blue bonnet and she insisted on wearing it the rest of the night.
