One day while we were at the dollar store I found some cute pirate party decorations and treasure box party favors. I thought the treasure boxes were too cute to pass up so I bought them. This is how our pirate party came about. We started our party by having a treasure hunt. The treasure boxes contained treats that the kids were able to eat while watching our pirate movie. (Disney's Blackbeard's Ghost) After the movie we played musical islands. The prizes were pirate cupcakes. Then they each got to pick out a pirate tattoo. I also printed off a pirate activity sheet for the kids and let them play with some pirate dress up toys. I had some other fun ideas but ran out of time. The kids all had a great time being pirates for the day.

I know I tell you all the time but you are so much fun. You don't just watch the kids, but you make it so much fun for them. My kids are still talking about it, in fact Bridger is STILL wearing his pirate mask. Thanks so much they had a blast.
