On Monday we went to Manatee Springs with four other families in our ward. Our camera battery died so we weren't able to take any pictures. I did however find some pictures on line. It was such a beautiful place. We saw 5 manatees, a turtle and a lot of fish that were jumping out of the water. We had a picnic lunch and let the kids play on the playground. We will have to go back before we move to get some of our own photos. The springs are at a constant 72 degrees year round. It wasn't warm enough for us to want to go swimming, however there were people swimming in the springs. We also saw a few people snorkeling. It was a fun day trip.

At first I thought that was Geoff swimming in the pool, but then realized it was a Manatee instead...ok, just kidding. I am very jealous of all the fun things you guys get to do down there. thanks for the update.
That looks like an awesome place. So pretty. I remember doing a report in elementary school on manatees. What a great mammal.
WOW!! I can't imagine being able to see all the things your able to see.. I want to come visit before you move..
What an amazing experience! I hope you do get to go again so you can get some pics. Cameras can be such a pain sometimes. You have had so many great opportunities in Florida!
