This last weekend we drove to Pennsylvania with our good friend's the Browns. We started out in Hershey at the Hershey Chocolate World. Before I moved here I had no idea this place existed. It is amazing! The town of Hershey is full of things to do. They have their own amusement park, water park, garden, antique car museum, the Chocolate World, Hershey Outlet and more. This time we just went to the Chocolate World. We went on the tour/ride, watched the 3D show, toured the gift shops, and each picked out a giant chocolate bar. Since I am a chocolate lover this place was like heaven for me. :) If you ever have the chance to go here I would highly recommend it!
After our stop to Hershey we drove to the Amish Country in Landcaster. Pennsylvania is such a beautiful place! There are farms everywhere. We stopped at a farmer's market, went on a drive to see the country and some covered bridges, walked through some fun shops, let the kids play at a park and pet animals at a petting zoo, and finished our day with a wonderful meal at the Plain and Fancy restaurant. Everything was made from scratch and we even got to try some shoefly pie for dessert. It was delicious!

Sounds like a blast!! We will have to make the trip next year when we come and visit!!!
Hey Jadi- I finally got onto your blog. Your family is darling! It is so fun to see your kids. They are getting so big. I just started a blog, so you need to check it out. It is: supersohms.blogspot.com. Talk to you soon!
My good friend is from Pennsylvania, so I've heard all about Hershey World, but I've never been there. How fun! How is Geoff liking his work?
Olivia,
I think Geoff is enjoying his job. He said he can relax when we gets home now. When he was in school he always had something he needed to be working on. Weekends are a lot more fun now.
What a fun place to visit. I've heard that Hershey, Penn even smells like chocolate when you drive through the city - is that true!! I'm coming for a visit if it is!
Camille,
I couldn't smell chocolate just driving through the city but I could inside of the Chocolate World and they give you free samples of chocolates too. :) It is worth coming out here to see along with everything else. I am amazed at how much there is out here. Try to make it out here sometime in the next few years. We would LOVE it!
I watch a lot of t.v., so I've heard of Hershey, Pennsylvania. I've always wanted to go, though! You are soooo lucky! Sounds like you've had lots of fun.
