Kaden's class has been hearing about his Grandma coming to visit for weeks. When we arrived Grandma was handed a stack of welcome cards along with a "Queen Grandma" crown. She taught the kids about Utah and showed them pictures from her book. Then she let Kaden pass out postcards to all of the kids along with a cup cake ice cream cone. The funniest part was when the teacher asked if any of the kids had a question for Kaden's Grandma. One boy raised his hand and asked how her flight was. After giving her answer the next child raised their hand and asked how her flight was. I think there were 5 or 6 kids who asked her how her flight was. There were also 2 or 3 who asked her how many kids she had. One little girl told Grandma she was pretty and another one said she had shiny eyes. When we got home and read the cards they said, "I love you", "You are pretty", and "You have shiny eyes". Kaden said his teacher wrote things on the board to give them ideas of what to write in her cards. The teacher also gave them some ideas of questions they could ask. That is why the "How was your flight?" question came up so many times. We got a good laugh from that visit.
